• Summer reading program at the Cleveland library. City of Cleveland Fire Department will visit. 10 a.m.

• Red Cross Blood Drive at First Baptist Church, Church Street, Cleveland from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visit www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to make an appointment or just come by. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients.

Friday, June 26

• Mountain Laurel Quilting Guild Workshop will be held at the Clarkesville United Methodist Church Fellowship hall. Florine Johnson will teach a fusible web workshop using her Radical Rooster Ralph pattern. Cost for members is $35, non-members $45. •Free Family Fun Day at Freedom Park, Cleveland. Bouncy houses, crazy hair, face painting, water gun battlefield. To raise awareness of the needs of foster children and families. Activities begin at 1:30 p.m.

• Georgia Mountain Farm Tours. Choose from 16 farms. Tours are self-guided and the event is perfect for families looking for a mix of education and culture around local foods, farming and sustainability. Farmers will answer questions and demonstrate sustainable practices used in producing food in the region. Bring coolers and buy food straight from the farm.
